Cowgirls Create Their Own Easter on the Road

April 5, 2021 (San Angelo, Texas) - Former That Western Life podcast guest, Jimmie Smith, proved just how important the meaning of community and God is in the western life when this young, dynamic barrel racer, organized a potluck dinner for Easter Sunday at the San Angelo Rodeo.

Rodeo is one of those unique sports where the camaraderie and family bonds are strong. You’ll often times see competitors helping their competition, offering trades to help their schedules, and assisting each other in any way possible - it’s just the Cowboy Way! This Easter Sunday, after a long year of cancelled rodeos and uncertainty, to come together in this way was a beautiful testament to the world of rodeo!
